About the Business
Cornish Lawns was previously North Cornwall Gardens, which I started 2007. I have worked for other garden maintenance companies and for a local campsite in Cornwall for many years. Now I employ seasonal staff to work along side me to help me serve my customers better.
Initially I started working for customers in my local area of St Wenn, between Wadebridge and Bodmin, and have since expanded to take on jobs in Harlyn, Trevone, Newquay, Wadebridge, Rock, Trebetherick, New Polzeath, St Austell, Golant, Delabole and Camelford. The gardens that I maintain range from small residential properties to 2 acre gardens.
Although I undertake all aspects of garden maintenance I have listed the main services that I offer on this website. I have purchased the very best garden machinery to help me get jobs completed to a high standard and in good time. I am hard working, reliable and listen to what my customers want. All work is properly invoiced for, either in person, by post or email.
I first started gardening in 1999 for well established local business. I have taken some breaks from gardening since then but majority of the time has been spent as a self-employed gardener, offering services within my local area. I have around 70 customers, some of which I visit weekly or fortnightly and others as and when I’m needed. Many of my customers have retained my services for many years and would be more than happy to provide testimonials for those of you who are interested.

Lawn mowing:
If you have a small, medium or large lawn, we can help with regular or one off cuts. We’re highly organised, offer low fixed prices & have many happy customers. The majority of our lawns are residential & holiday properties. We use both push mowers & ride-ons.
Organic Lawn Care:
We’ll ensure a healthy growth, depth of colour & eradicate weeds & moss. Your lawn will be improved hugely by mowing regularly, at the right heights & in the right way. However, we also carry out aeration, scarification & organic lawn treatments for a beautiful, lush green lawn.

James has maintained our garden in Trebetherick for several years and I hope will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. He works to a high standard and, as we are not always in residence, his reliability is a great comfort. We have always been completely confident in recommending his services to friends and neighbours.
James Curran has worked regularly in my garden in Burlawn since 2003. He has been reliable and does an excellent job cutting the lawn and strimming some areas of long grass. He comes regularly and adjusts the frequency of cuts according to the growth needs of the grass. He is careful to avoid damaging bushes etc and clears the cut grass, leaving everything tidy. He has also done excellent work trimming the hedges which are not at all straightforward. He can work independently when we are not around and I would fully recommend him.
