About the Business

Owner and company director Sam Smith has lived in the Cotswolds all his life and is now settled in Stroud with his wife and three grown up children. Sam has had many creative jobs over the years, before starting his own business and comes from a very artistic family. Sam gained his experience in the craft of hard landscaping and dry stone walling by working alongside other established landscape gardeners in Gloucestershire.

Originally named Sam Smith Stonework, the company was founded in 2008 and has recently changed name to Sam Smith Landscapes to reflect the extensive work we offer. Primarily focusing on traditional dry stone walling, the company now also offers a wide range of soft and hard landscaping to suit the need of the client. Specialising in the building and restoration of Cotswold dry stone walling (free standing and retaining), gateways, entrances and arches, garden ponds and water features, paving, terracing, driveways and parking areas.
