The house is on a corner plot. I have just moved in to occupy the 1st floor flat - with my own entrance and private garden. The garden can be viewed by both the ground floor flat and 1st floor. The garden area is a quadrant in shape, with a perimeter brick wall/wood fence approx. 7ft high and a 10m path from the entrance gate to the front door. However, a 6ft high fence across part of the grassed area provides a private area (approx. 4m x 4m ) from the ground floor flat. The garden area currently is moss and grass/weeds. It is mainly south facing, it gets sun from morning to late afternoon. The only flower bed - against the south wall - contains bluebells and a 25ft Birch tree which shades part of the garden. There is also a garden shed. There is no outside water or power supply at present. I want a low maintenance garden which is good for entertaining. I'm thinking mainly hard landscaping areas with potted plants and a seating/barbeque area.
